Safety Officer

Staff Sergeant (Retired) Juan Cruz enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in June 2009 and served for over 14 years. His service includes multiple assignments on the West Coast and overseas to Combined Arms Training Center, Camp Fuji and Okinawa, Japan. He also served aboard the USS Wasp (LHD 1) in May 2018 with  2nd Battalion, 5th Marines in support of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, focusing on combat readiness and training exercises in the South China Sea. In August, 2023, Juan retired medically from the Marine Corps and joined the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a Contract Specialist. In October 2025, he joined the USNSCC Pentagon Division as an Auxiliary Member and currently serves as the Safety Officer.
